I just saw your launch window went from spring to December. Tell me its not true ;~;

What? No! That’s from last year’s December. Below that you can read:

Update: We changed the engine we work with right after Prologue came out, and because we had to port everything to software we’re not familiar with the game got inevitably delayed. We’ve given two new launch windows already (early this year and spring) but we keep missing them due to this. The game is coming along well, though! we released a demo made with the new engine and you can download it right at our itch.io page. Soon we’ll announce a definitive launch date, so please stay tuned.

Thank you for noting it though, we’ll fix what it says as to avoid further misunderstandings.

Will roofies be a thing?

BTC code of conduct and procedures (Human-readable version) : On the use of unauthorized drugs and additions.

We at the British Trademarking Company take the safety of our clients as a priority. As such we’ve banned the use of unauthorized chemicals on the drinks served by our bartenders. “Unauthorized Chemicals” referring to sedatives, narcotics, medicines, any liquor not registered in the BTC Database and any pure chemical not included in the standard bartending station.

Should the bartending station detect use of unauthorized chemicals in the mix or should the bartender add such ingredients to the drink afterwards, the bartender’s pay will be docked for a month and the bar will be fined with 10 Standardized Legal Currency Units. Any expenses the client goes through due to the Bartender’s actions (Such as legal procedures or medical bills) will also be discounted from the bartender’s pay and/or tips.

The bartender will also be put on watch, and after a second charge of unauthorized use of chemicals will be fired and put on trial, judged under the BTC laws.

Who knows if they will be, but it sure as hell is a bad idea.

Why no corgis?

There are talking dogs, we just got rid of “random generated talking dogs as a filler” - while we love what we did with their names and dialogs in Prologue, they get old really fast, to the point you just want to keep hearing the story from the more fleshed out humanoids and stop serving the same drinks to the same dogs over and over (although this was done as a part of a joke, it made the game less enjoyable)

So yeah, no fillers and repeated dogs, just characters with beefy storylines.

Now that the game is almost done, can you give an estimate on how long the game is if we were to take our time with it? Also the finished version do include a DRM-Free and steam version no? Just checking.

Hard to say, since we’re still adjusting the story itself, but last time I did a rough estimate… it clocked around 6 or 7 hours, not counting the replay value (unlocking all scenes, endings, room items, etc.), but that might change.

Also, the game will be DRM free in all distribution platforms, and a Steam key will be available to those who bought Prologue on Itch.io and Humble Store.

Now that I casually mention the length, there’s no random corgis/humans as filler, there’s no fillers as a matter of fact, every client you meet has a beefy storyline.

You guys mentioned that the PAX demo stuff wouldn't be part of the game, but do you think you'll make it available again later? I pay for my games through a system using convenience stores here in Japan, so I have to wait for the Steam release meaning I don't gots no demo. Any chance of you sticking the demo in as like an optional download or unlockable or something?

It will be available alongside the game as a separate file, same with Prologue, they’re all bundled together.
